So, the derby...

Surely we'll beat that lot on Wednesday night? They seem to lose 4-0 most weeks and we've won 8 in a row and not conceeded in that time. Obviously they'll be up for it but I reckon we'll do them. I think we'll see Cisse and Crouch up front and go at them. I shall be sat in the Everton end so will be struggling to surpress any joy as they score a couple each...

Derby games are derby games and to use a cliche, anything can happen.

I would play Cisse up against Weir, Crouch up against Cold drop, as he has just come back from into the team and wont be 100%, crouch will give him a torrid time.

Alonso & Sissoko in center, as they will try to fight their way out, but momo will teach them the meaning of PAIN!!!

Think kewell should play as it will stop hibbert coming forward, this is the sort of game he needs, he needs to show the fans he's a fighter! similar to Luis last year.

I'd play Cisse up front with Kewell in behind him with Hamman, Sissoko and Alonso in centre mid. Gerrard in the floating roll between centre mid and Kewell. They'll not see that coming and will have spent every spare minute preparing to combat Crouch and Moro.

The first goal will be SO important.

They get it - their tails are up and their fans (bitter t***ts surely?) will be scenting blood.

We get it - their 'fans' will turn on the team - and Gollum.

Don't be surprised with some late goals. Do they have a fitness problem coz they've shipped a fair few lately in the latter stages?

Agree with that completely. They've shipped late ones because they can't chase a game.

I'd play our best 11 and just blow them away. They simply won't be able to live with us. They don't even have those 'dogs of war' types anymore to turm it into a contest.

I fully agree. Rafa needs to keep the same team or maybe Momo in for Garcia and go right at them. As you said without Carsley and Graveson they really are not that much of a battling team anymore(see recent results) I think an early goal will open the flood gates and without getting carried away think we will win this game comfortably.
