It had all been going so well. 

We've had a couple of cups rescuing s*** seasons but nothing ever anywhere near the disparity between terrible league position and performances and cup redemption.  To get Champions League qualification on the back of the worst season in that club's not even recent history really is a f***ing travesty.

The only silver lining is that I really don't think having midweek CL games would do them any favours next season.
