Some interesting responses.....

 

In my 35 years supporting Liverpool it seems we always had a gool scorer... Rush, Fowler, Owen, Torres......

I know we had had the odd season withiout, but this year it has been so obvious we just need someone to convert a few of the decent chances we create.

 

RVP, brilliant but too old, too much on wages and too injury prone. He is in a purple pacth and knowing us it would stop as soon as we signed him.

 

I leave it for the Championship manager brigade to decide who we need, but John, please lets sign one this summer.......

Given the team is lacking two or three top players, how much should we expect the owners to make available for transfers this summer (obviously wages are a major factor)? Given that there wasn't much of a cash injection last year - in terms of net spend - can we realistically expect to compete for the likes Javi Martinez and Eden Hazard, assuming (we'd want them and) they'd come to a Europa League side?
