That's very promising actually. Either he's been well scripted or he's actually pretty clued in on the ways of the club and football in general. I love his comments on Anfield and Kenny specially.

 

I'm cautiously optimistic on John, I am.

He is growing on most though. Seems like a humble man who wants the club to be at the top and make some money out of a successful venture.

How old is the interview? I thought he recently said that redeveloping Anfield was the way forward? In this interview he seems a bit more undecided, which is understandable.

Intriguing that bit, as obviously they wouldn't know a Babel from a Turan, or a Poulsen from an Alonso. I wonder where they were getting their football advice from ? Whoever it was, is likely the person that recommended Commoli (if indeed such person/people hadn't already recommended Commoli, and he was already onboard doing a review of the playing staff).

 

Would make a hell of a film for the LFC fan, the last 12 months behind the scenes, all the back stabbing and secret deals.

He seems too good to be true, if that makes sense.

He obviously has some sort of underlying financial goal, its a business at the end of the day... but all he talks about is winning things etc...

Which in a way is good, but its hard not to have a nagging feeling that he isn't telling us something.

I think he's said that before though? Not exact words obviously, but I think he's said that the value in it for them isn't making money as they go along, it's having a much more valuable asset years down the road that they'd make a massive profit from.

Depends if you're looking to put him on a pedestal, or hoping for more than is actually there. I think there's plenty for people to rub against if they want, be it a fair chance there will not be anything happening stadium wise, or that we will likely spend what we earn as a club and little if any more. Maybe you feel there is a big bombshell to come like last time, however they were suspect right from the start.

Yeah he said exactly that - also said to prove that they haven't taken any dividends / profit out of the Red Sox since owning them (and they will have been profitable).
