Hopefully we can knock Everton out en route to a cup win. A lot of very good teams in the UEFA Cup this time. Bayern, Barcelona, Atletico or Inter, all can be a part of it. Its not an easy competition to win.

I won't celebrate winning the Uefa cup, it really is a second rate competition that we should be no where near. It's like getting relegated, it has about as much credibility as the league cup.

It might just be my disapointment talking but I can't take any positives from being in this competition.

When you say concentrate on the league, is that 4th, 5th or 6th as the level of acceptance for the Rafa appreciation club drops every week.

it's not the same thing though is it? You enter the league cup knowing exactly what it is and what you're getting into. It's a secondary competition and is treated as such, tonight we've been relegated from the premier competitionand massive amount of dissapointment goes with that, which will tarnish anything to do with the competition. If you win the league cup it's a bonus, if we win this thing it will be tainted through the way we ended up in the thing.

All knock out once we join in. 32 teams left when it starts again in February. 4 2 legged rounds and the final on 12 May in Hamburg.

Could be a laugh. Would rather it was the European Cup obviously, but this is better than nothing. Looks like Inter might end up in this as well.
