thats what the majority of fans wanted our first real challenge in years...and we got that, still if we dont win the league....it will go down as a missed chance....the mancs havent been that good this season, chelsea started poorly and arsenal inconsistent......those horrible draws at home really will come back to haunt us..

 

Still im really happy where we are headed....in the summer Rafa needs to make some big signings, he cant get it wrong......it harks back to the season after the treble with houllier...we finished 2nd.....the following summer was big as we all felt we were only 2 or 3 signings away from a great team........cheyrou,diouf and diao were purchased, and there went any hope of the title.....lets hope rafa doesnt make the same mistakes.

It's clear that we're on the brink of something massive now. Our performances over the last few months have, by and large, been brilliant. We attack at pace, with really crisp passing and look like we're going to score everytime we go forwards. Defensively we'd been really tight up until the last fortnight. We look every part a team on the up.

 

If we don't win the league this season it will, of course, be very disappointing for all of us. But next season is looking pretty bright as well.

Absolutely, and what it does make you think is that we have a real chance of winning it next season. I haven't confidently thought that for 19 years.

 

Not only have we challenged but we look like the strongest team in the league. The future is as bright as ever for sure.

I know its a bit weird, but I don't mind the mancs drawing level. ITs like a final tease before we roar off again. Imagine if they get to 18 this season (which they will), and then we win the next two. It will be great to force the bacon face to retire with us back on our perch, especially as they get so close!
