that a team's been markedly better than us. hands in the air and say we got outplayed, horrible as it is. it's not dead but they were excellent. when due.

It is dead Stevie.

I wonder when Chelsea conceded 3 at home.

Indeed, I'd have to go along with, this is probably the first time this season a team has outplayed us and deserved their victory. Our defeats this season in all competitions has been:

Spurs away...very unfortunate to lose that game, Spurs won the National Lottery.

Boro away...We dropped ourselves down to their level but never outplayed us.

Everton FA Cup...Tight game, decided in Extra Time

Spurs away League Cup...Doesn't count, just a kick in the park that was ;)

The loss of Masc was massive never once looked like we had the ability to control the game and our left side was the poorest i've seen all season.

kick them off the park in the 2nd leg ;)

credit to them, they play like that then they can't be as big a load of w*****s as they've always seemed. I've been saying it for years but Essien is phenomenal, he's nowhere near his best after the long injury but he plays with such power.

When was the last time the mancs conceeded four?!

The lack of belief from some of our supporters is really baffling. I understand it's a tough ask. I understand that their defensive record says it's unlikely. However I also understand that WE ALL support Liverpool Football Club, and that means we never say die until they've cut off our heads and burned our bodies. We needed 3 goals against Olympiacos and did it, we needed 3 in Istanbul and did it in 6 minutes.

Now we need three against a team we've outplayed twice this season and who will be without their best defender. We can do this, whether we will or not I don't know, but the least we as fans can do is have some f***king faith.

Also chili this was by no means meant as a dig directly at you, but I've seen similar posts all over here and rawk tonight from a number of our fans.

It was the two best teams in the world on the field last night. All credit to Chelsea.

I thought that too. First half was a cracker, second half their desire and tactics got their reward.

Both teams better than United though from what i've seen.

If we were players, or fans conceding defeat while at the match, you'd have a point, but we're not. It is vital they have belief, or at least look like they do.

It is not realistic to expect us to go through, we might do it, but is very very unlikely, belief or lack of from fans on fora it is not going to make a blind bit of difference.

Very nearly correct.

Their best defender is actually just returning.
