New York Red Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Absolutely horrible. It looks like the kit they wore in "Escape to Victory"
R A Softlad Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Depends which shoplifter's son is wearing it...
New York Red Posted March 30, 2009 Author Posted March 30, 2009 It looks uncomfortable to me also. Like it's tailored badly. I think people will either love it or hate it, just like we are. No middle ground. OK, imagine the stripe not being there...
Stevie H Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 goes well with jeans apparently. skintight ones. and braces and 18-hole docs.
Falconhoof Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 The simplicity and retro look could be excellent if it wasn't an England kit.I'd like our shirt to be a basic, unfettered design like that.
Hieronymus Bosch Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) Think it's rubbish, but then I wouldn't ever wear a Hackett top. Umbro's primary objective was clearly to shift shirts, rather than design a football strip, because it's exactly what your typical England football fan would wear anyway. Tommy Cockles Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 One fo my workmates was looking at it this morning on t'internet and the thing that amused me was all the high tech stuff - 'wicking collar' 'Climate Control fabric''Lumbar zone ventilation' blah blah And 99% of the people who wear it won't do a minute's exercise.
JonShar Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 It looks uncomfortable to me also. Like it's tailored badly. I think people will either love it or hate it, just like we are. No middle ground. OK, imagine the stripe not being there... I'm imagining the stripe not being there, but there would still be one stripe left over. I'm so confused.
DanielS Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 As soon as I saw it I knew there would be one w***** in the line up wearing it with the collar turned up - the international invitation to commit assault and battery against the wearer. Fw*** didn't disappoint.
Jarg Armani Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Team England assemble for photo call in JT's back yard
John am Rhein Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 Impressively authentic - they even got the England fans' flags and banners right
