A question from yesterday...

A minor point, but why did we not have Carlsberg on our shirts yesterday? Can't be an alcohol advertising ban as Heineken was plastered all around the ground.

Heineken are a major sponsor of the CL so i think they're exempt

that's unlikely cause they've been major sponsors for a good couple of years now and carlsberg have been on our shirts all this time

I know the Heineken cup in rugby is advertised as the H Cup in france. The heineken logo is removed.

Didn't think Alcohol advertising was banned in Holland though. Bizarre

If it's because Holland has banned alcohol sponsorship it must have only come in recently. A quick google search brings up photo's from last season's game there and the Carlsberg logo is on the shirts.

Its probably because we used the same shirts as the ones we used in Marseille

Unlikely, unless we're really broke and had to dye those red shirts grey.

I think it is the fact that technically Heineken are not a 'sponsor' but a 'partner' as as such allowed but 'sponsorship' of alcohol is no longer allowed.
