Nebraska Red Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 no live TV coverage over here in the USA on ESPN/ESPN2. it appears that the game is only on ESPN Deportes at midnight eastern/11pm central. Setanta has the game for those with a dish or internet access. I did see that Cox Communications are beginning to offer Setanta on cable in certain areas. Hopefully, it will be available everywhere soon.
BDB Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 It's on Setanta which would mean your friendly local barkeep should be able to show you the match as you sip on a red wine.
Alonso Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Reina Arbeloa Carragher Agger Aurelio Babel Gerrard Alonso Riera Kuyt Torres Give Babel a go on the right and Kuyt up front alongside Torres. Think Babel deserves a chance to prove he can do it from the first whistle and Keane is the obvious one to make way.

Cunny Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) I think Rafa, will pick the strongest possible side to get qualification sorted. The West Ham game is not till Monday, so plenty of time to recover. Hassony Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I hope to see Dossena back for the game tonight
Murphman Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I hope to see Dossena back for the game tonight I agree, let's see what he's made of.

Mike Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I hope to see Dossena back for the game tonightwhy? why?
Hassony Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 why? why? Because he needs games, and I would rather he plays this one than against West ham Aurellio will get injured sooner or later and at the moment Dossena is our best option for a back up
Bailo Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 why? why?I think to drive you into an apoplectic rage.
Mike Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I think to drive you into an apoplectic rage. haha
Senrab_nhoj Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I think to drive you into an apoplectic rage. Which to be fair is not that difficult ;-)
Mike Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Which to be fair is not that difficult ;-) we've all got our weak spots. like that bit in stir crazy when they have to find the word to make the bull go apes***. that's someone whispering 'dossena' in my ear.

Mike Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 What would happen if that was coupled with Yossi pointing at you? the zenith of this would be an in game situation where dossena and yossi actually ran into each other and gave the ball away. the combination of dossena's clumsy s***ness and yossi's phantom twists. tongue swallowing moment.

Other than either being on the pitch.
beejay Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I cannot imagine how we could be as bad as last year (mocker alert) when Rafa made the mistake of playing Momo for the full 90 mins despite the fact he was having a total nightmare and his confidence was shot to pieces even before he presented them with their goal. Playing Dossena would be a similar gamble after his horror show last time out against Spurs. According to the reports I have seen, Marseilles have a decent midfield and are a threat going forward but their defence is poor. We should take no chances, play our best side and get after them.
M4TTA Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Keane should start, and I expect will do. i think so too. Expect him to start up front with torres. I do think there will be some changes to the team though.Expect Alonso back with Masch in the middle, Riera and Kuyt on the wings, i think Gerrard will bench it tonight and come on later 2nd half.

I'd be very surprised if Stevie didn't start - Keane to the bench and Torres and Gerrard linking up again. Only other change I could see is possible Dossena being thrown on
