you're obsessed with this. Put yourself in O'Neills shoes. He wants to keep his best player and captain and build a team around him. i dont see whats wrong with that at all. He is fighting to keep is best player

A few people have said some things they probably shouldn't

Overall i don't really have a problem with him

Whether or not he has taken the right approach, the future will tell us

I have no idea which box that falls into

disgraceful...he should have sold Barry to liverpool as soon as they showed an interest and made their first offer....in fact he should have asked liverpool to reduce their bid cause you know theyre liverpool and their manager is brilliant and the fans are the best in the world and sing dead good.

"Just a Manager Saying what he feels and trying to get the best deal for his club"

this rule against 'tapping up' is still b*llsh*t though - but can't blame O'Neill for trying to use it in his club's favour.

He's a bit hypocritical, but with this ridiculous rule, being hypocritical is part of the job.

That's your best post on here.

Don't mind him looking after his own club's interests. Think his daily rants through the media are amusing given his entire objection was about us using the media though

Am also slightly amused by his backing down and bigging up Barry of late

He was doing a great job getting as much money out of us as possible, but i think he poorly judged the situation and thought we would up our bid once more after he rejected our latest bid. The words 'last bid' obviously don't mean much to him. Plus there's the whole hypocritical nature of him acting like we have when he was at Celtic

and his constant bleating to the press after moaning at us

So overall, i'd say he's looking like a mug.

The fact that Barry is still there tells me how good a job O'Neil is doing.

We'll have to see about that one

If he plays average for a year, then leaves next season for 2m, would you still think that?

With Martin O'Neills latest stance: Laughable.

I hope those that said he'd be a 'Good Manager' For LFC are suitably cringing

He'd be the worst f***ing manager we'd ever have. I'd rather hire a hobo from under a bridge somewhere - he'd be just as s**** - but at least you wouldn't have to put up with that c*** O'Neill

f***ing tosser.

Not at all. I prefer Benitez, but if Benitez was to leave then I'd put O'Neill at the top of the list of managers I'd like to see him replaced by.

fecin hell!

Would you want David Moyes as our manager? Cos they are pretty damn similar.

Moyes is one of the better ones too, but O'Neill's better than him.

What at?

Being Petty? Being Bitter (Live on Air)? Being Hypocritical (See all his comments in the paper) Better at Sulking? Better at Whining? Better at talking nonsense and making himself look like a gimp?

If you mean the above - then I agree with you.

Maybe all of those things, but also at managing a football team.

They're both 'holding' managers John - they can get a threadbare squad to perform just high enough above expectation but no more than that. His Celtic time has to be viewed through the lens of being one of the two horses i a two horse race and the second horse bing even less savvy than him Strachanhas even proved this.

Neither are fit to be on any potential Liverpool management list.
