I think Blackburn will become a much easier team to play again. Lovely.

Why do you think that ?

Mark Hughes did very well though and will be a tough act to follow so they probably won't be quite as good as they have been in recent seasons.

bit old skool that

Young manager having learned some of his craft in a lower division. Whatever next, signing players from Partick Thistle and Sc***horpe?

Seriously, Ince isn't a patch on Hughes. They are also going to lose at least one of their best players.

We should buy Cruz as a cheap back up to Torres.

Not sure he's going to be cheap.

Assuming we don't sign another striker I would take him for 8-10m. Maybe push it to 12m. Above that, not so sure.

I'd say that's pretty massive money. Would sooner see that go on a wide man, personally. Although, that's really beside the point.

Don't rate Hughes or Ince as managers

I can see that have done well relative to those around them, but if you put 10 mediocre managers in a league, one of them will finish above the others.

Certainly don't think they should be capable of worrying us.

ah, just seen the Laudrup report on Sky Sports. It was news 2 days ago that Laudrup had been interviewed. I don't think this is any new development.

Good for him and the club.

He's done his fair bit of moaning in the past about institutional racism so fingers crossed, given that he doesn't have all of his badges, he's a success.

Reports are the he has a rather slack attitude to doing his badges.

He has been given 2 years to get his pro licence.

Q: (perhaps unrelated!) how long is the average tenature for a manager new to the premier league?

If Ince finds himself lumbered with a gobby, arrogant, up-himself big time Charlie on his playing staff, I'm sure Thommo, Houllier, Fergie et al will be unable to resist a smile
