stressederic Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 With Neville out injured, who is captaining United at the moment?
Woodsyla Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 No need to panic, it's an understandable appiontment when you read this "Capello has confirmed this continues his policy of rotating the captaincy between players in the friendly matches before confirming a permanent captain for the World Cup qualifying games."

Aye looks like Capello is experimenting, to see who he thinks will stand out. Think he'll try:FerdinandTerryGerrardOwenBeckham

Think he'll try:FerdinandTerryGerrardOwenBeckham really cant see owen getting a chance to be honest. he's consistantly not been good enough at the toon and wont be about the next time we have a competition. i could though see rooney getting a shout with it. beckham i reckon will get an honoury one for cap #101.
Kuyt-fever Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Might get some stick but I think Rio is the top defender in the country. Absolute c*** of a man but wonderfully gifted defender,
Guest RedLegend Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Might get some stick but I think Rio is the top defender in the country. Absolute c*** of a man but wonderfully gifted defender, He has actually been good this season. His best season for quite a while as I don't think he's been all that good in recent years. Can't stand the c*** though.
stressederic Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I think he benefits from having Vidic alongside him. And vice versa as well.
Guest RedLegend Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I think he benefits from having Vidic alongside him. And vice versa as well. True. They cover each other's weaknesses almost perfectly.
Guz Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 The most obvious choice. He is england's best defender at the moment and has probably been their best player for the last few years. He's first pick and playing well for club and country. hardly a shock decision. Given the dislike there is for Gerrard around some red fans I'm surprised so many people think he should get it, hell why anyone would even want him to get involved in that circus is beyond me.
Guest 70400 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 United's most important player, Ronaldo included. He holds together the defense and is key to bringing the ball out. When he's been out I've seen Vidic/Brown lump it forward too many times for my liking. Couldn't be arsed about his England captaincy though.
Guest Prongsy Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 It's only on a rotation, he's not the full time captain.
Eiler99 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 True. They cover each other's weaknesses almost perfectly. Vidic must have one hell of a memory.
Guy_Incognito Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Now, I'm no fan of the c**** obviously, but the worst thing about him for me is when the Glams stuck by him when he f***ed up and missed the drugs test. They paid him for 8 months when they could easily have suspended him or f***ed him off, and then as soon as it's time for a contract re-negotiation he starts having cosy lunches with Chelsea and refusing to sign unless they offer him ridiculous wages. Utter c***.
