Why ? I started the thread because I felt that it was an unnecessary substition, particularly today. I assume it was done to consolidate the scoreline.....it didn't, just as it didn't v Middlesboro. Why not bring Crouch and Benayoun on and keep the same shape and give them a chance to build on their confidence ?

The goal today came from a corner, and the goal against Boro came because Finnan was up the other end of the field and Benayoun got mugged by Downing.

 

How are either of those incidents even remotely linked to the substitution?

 

Do you think Cohen would have missed that header if Torres was still on the pitch?

I would of took Torres off because the game was won and we have two important games coming up. I would have done a straight swap with Crouch though. Maybe we're trying to get buyers for Riise, today wouldn't have helped though.
