According to Radio city this morning he is going to contemplate his options in the summer. Seems like some of the rumours may have some truth in them

Isn't his wife expecting? I think thats why he wants to return to Spain. Top professional who will give 100% to Liverpool until he does decide to leave.

All players should consider their options every Summer - the transient nature of form and possibility of change within any club makes this so.

 

His lack of present form, the rise of certain other players (LL and JM) make his situation one of those which will be looked at more closely.

I would be happy with Guthre to come back instead of getting someone else in for big money

 

Gerrard, Lucas, Masch and Guthre should be enough to cover CM

I'd be very disappointed to see him leave, I think his best years are ahead of him, would love them to be at liverpool, if only he had been fit this season, I think we would have seen alot of Masch, Xabi and Gerrard in midfield, I think that has everything.

Agree, give Guthrie/Spearing a chance as the 4th CM and focus on wide players/striker. If Gerrard's going to play central from now on,which seems the case, we're going to be overloaded in CM if everyone stays

I don't think Guthrie is anywhere near good enough for Liverpool. hope I'm wrong tho

Probably not good enough to be a starter, but no reason why he can't be used as a cover (like fletcher and Park for example)

totally gutted if he leaves....a world class talent. Really we cant afford to let him go unless we have a suitable replacement...and theres not much out there without spending big money

They keep churning this story out every coupla weeks. First surfaced in December when a figure of ten mln quid was quoted.
