He's good, long way to go but he had a great game v Barca at the weekend. Doubt Sevilla will sell him for a good while yet, if/when they do they will ask big money a la Alves.

excellent player, though really seems to struggle for fitness.....he normally goes completely missing in the 2nd half after an astonishing first 45 mins..

Might be worth a bid, cos in 2-3 years no doubt he`ll be one of the best players in the world and be worth a fortune.

He's got an £8m release clause at the minute aswell as he hasnt got a new deal since coming out of the reserves. Just the sort of player Rafa would be after i'd imagine, young, big future, incredible work rate.

Sure he's aware of him (and everyone else) but all depends on whether he wants to leave or not I suppose.

Agree with that - I thought he was really, really good against them.

Have we not been linked with him in the past?

Last minute of the game v Barce he robbed a Barce player inside his own half evaded 2 challenges and burst through leaving people for dead and got a shot off that went just wide. Maybe he's improved his stamina recently as he didn't seem that tired after 89 minutes the other night.

I've been advocating his signing (which doesn't mean much, I know!!) for a while now after seeing his performance v Barce at the beginning of January in the Cope del Rey match.

We tried to sign him when we got Barragan but he didn't want to come over, he's very talented, reminds me of Robben a bit, really really quick, keeps the ball close to his feet. Juve are after him apparently.

I'll be amazed if doesn't have at least another 2 seasons with Sevilla. He's 19 isn't he? Sevilla don't appear to need the cash if being able to turn down 34million euro bids for Alves is anything to go by. Even if they don't get CL football next season I can't see him leaving.

He has an 8 million clause in his contract so if someone bids that it's automatically accepted. He probably will stay alright though.

They'll get him signed up to a new contract soon enough.

At 8m, that sounds perfect since we have Babel to come on in the second half :bleh:

Cheers for the info everyone. Comforting to know we are at least looking at him. Looking at our current crop of left-sided players (with a proper left foot) is quite depressing at times.

when we had the U20 tourney here in Canada, Capel was the best player here IMO. Was excellent against Brazil, tireless and clever (albeit running into blind alleys at times). Been a fan since.

Playing now on SSX against Zaragoza.

Quiet game for him so far but what I'd give for us to have Seville's right side of Alves and Navas. They've just worked one of the best one touch passing goals of the season for Fabiano.
