I think that whilst his wife was ill, he was in a fortyunate enough position to be able to devote himself full-time to caring for her and their children. But I cannot see why it would rule him out from taking a full-time job now.

I'd always thought that him being a widower with young kids stopped him from full on management?

Location was part of the issue re the kids not necessarily the role in its entirety

That would depend on how much he puts into it. I believe Rafa does extraordinarily long days, many managers are at a games half their life watching opponents and new players etc.. I suppose he could get others to do all that but it's a pretty big job i'd have thought, especially when the kids have lost their mum.

His sons are at boarding school and he's ready to take on another job.

I dislike Leeds but still hope he does well.

That's not what I was told at the weekend.

According to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx who actually spoke to Macca last month said he would not consider another job as he always made sure he would return home for his kids. Obviously something was lost in translation.

Good luck to him, but he did not exactly pull up any trees at Coventry.
