Thankfully we've had months to plan all our transfer activity so we'll be able to sort out a deal for a much needed new defender as soon as the window opens.

But would we really splash out big time on a new defender? I imagine we go for either a young lad who will grow into his role. Or just another "aged" backup only slightly younger than Hyypiä.

 

In the short term we can manage with Sami and Carra. Also Arbeloa can play CB right? Hobbs anyone?

 

I do think our attacking play suffers more from the absence of Dagger and the defensive play.

Seems to me Rafa doesn't rate him much as a CB. Think he has only played there once for us.
