Babel

Riise was ace first half, second half was more like we come to have expect of him really, so left him out.

Carra was awful, the amount of possession lost was astounding. Gerrard was invisible for large parts of the match too.

Sweet lord. Riise? Seriously? Have i slipped into the twilight zone? The lad can't even deliver a f***ing cross. But he was s ogood he was replaced right. Is this a norwegian bord by any chance.

1) Babel I think deserves it this time, even if he was only on a short time, showed immense bravery running at Utd and really looked the part.

A lot of averages after that, though I'm bemused at the inclusion of Arbeloa twice above when he on numerous occasions gave the ball away and got us into trouble. His wing was the one Utd were profiting from too. It's like watching different matches on this thread sometimes. Anyway, our central two defenders restricted one of the best attacks in the Prem to just one shot on goal so they probably deserve a lot of credit for that:

2) Hyypia

3) Carragher

Hyypia

Benayoun was brilliant today. He always kept the ball moving, hardly ever gave it away, and often put his teammates into good positions.

Kuyt was very poor today, as was Kewell.

Time to f*** Kuyt off out of it and play Babel in the support role to Torres. Thought Harry was ok, hope he carries on building up to full match fitness.

He was good defensively, abysmal going forward though.
