Ginu Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Turned the match when he came on. We were absolutely stale before the substitution. Great pace, skill and strength pushing the defender off and sending the ball through to Torres for his 2nd goal. Brilliant player. Get him on a new contract. A motivation-based pay as you play contract if need be, but definitely Red through and through. YNWA Harry P.S. Thank you Rafa, you shouldn't be thanking us.
M4TTA Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 yer, thought HK turned in a good performance, was great to see him again and the more and more he plays (and we are brining him back in the right way imo) the better he will get.

usualsuspect Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Harry is a very intelligent player, no?
Swipe Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Babel should take some tips from Kewell. Harry is still one of the only players of ours who goes at opposition players. With Babels speed and strength he should do it more. But, back on topic, Harry was great when he came on. If he stays fit he could well get himself a new contract
RafaShanks Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Second that. Thirded. Harry always knows what do when he gets the ball.

I'm 100% sure he won't but if we aren't discussing a new contract with him, he may think he's not wanted. Get into contract talks now IMO, or should I say, after December 16th
McBain Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Best wide player at the club. Was surprised he didn't start
Ginu Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 Best wide player at the club. Was surprised he didn't start Was probably a trade-off as he's not 100% match fit. Start him for 60 minutes and have lesser options on the bench, or have him come on after 60 when our initial onslaught begins to slow down. But he did play 90 minutes for Australia didn't he?
Bootle Buck Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Let's hope Harry can stay fit as he is as good as any new player we could have signed in January. He made a big difference and looks hungry.
DonRafa Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Best wide player at the club. Was surprised he didn't start I'm not. I doubt he's 100% fit yet. Much better as an impact player at the mo. Rafa knows his quality though, once he's fully fit* he'll start more often than not * Poor guy's had so many injuries, I doubt he'll ever be 'fully' fully fit. 'Harry' fit'll do
Guest L dude A reno Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Yep, he's looked in great shape since he's come back. And maybe, just maybe we'll get to see the Kewell we were all over the moon to sign all those years ago. Just hope he can stay fit.
Maldini Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 He looks properly fit for the first time since his first six months here, he looks a yard quicker than when he was "fit" last time.
oran Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 i dont think anyone here doubted how much class harry has,its just that everyone is frustrated with him being injured all the time.but he is a class player, even without the blistering pacehe once had.its great seeing him play again and hopefuly he will stay fit as there arent many wingers with his qualities.
Coyler Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 His pace gave me a pleasant rash to-night. The blisters are a fond memory. F*cking great player.
RP Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 He did alright - well I guess tonight was like a Cup Final. He must be confused not to have been given a medal at the end of the game.
Guest Kaizer Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Kewell is so calm on the ball, thats his best asset, he seldom makes a bad pass and he makes the ball stick in the team. Like someone else said, Babel should look and learn. Hopefully he can stay injury free.
jimmylibel Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 He looks properly fit for the first time since his first six months here, he looks a yard quicker than when he was "fit" last time. Less hair weighing him down.

ShaunOfTheRed Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 His run at the defender and pass to Torres happened so fast that I barely could tell he covered 30 some odd yards that fast. His tail was up and has been in recent appearances. He's really started to form a nice understanding with Torres and if that continues and he stays healthy we could well be in for a treat.
