Guest evil_billy Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 It's because we're on TV so much. It's a good sign of our popularity!
Coyler Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 It's armchairtastic Dead right. Barstoolerrific news.
Falconhoof Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I'd better stock up on delicious biscuits.
Ronnie Whelan Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 I'd better stock up on delicious biscuits. Teacakes are the answer to that particular conundrum.
RP Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 It's because we're on TV so much. It's a good sign of our popularity! Certainly a sign of our popularity, by why is it good?
Dee Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Because going to the match is for losers.apparently it is! a huge article about this very point in last week's Observer (or perhaps it was the Guardian ) anyhow, it looked at the amounts of money generated by TV rights, online revenue etc and compared it to gate receipts which pales in significance in relation to the big money earners. The article mentioned that ticket prices are going up which is forcing people to miss the game due to financial constraints - and that clubs should consider dropping the prices of tickets to ensure good atmosphere at the games as that translates well on tv and online to the millions of armchair fans around the world Silvio Berlusconi attempted something similar with Milan - I can't remember how successful that was...

John am Rhein Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 and that clubs should consider dropping the prices of tickets to ensure good atmosphere at the games as that translates well on tv and online to the millions of armchair fans around the world They need to start paying the fans according to the quality of atmosphere, as seen on TV
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 (edited) The 5:15pm kick offs are disgusting. Because England is in the ar$e end of the world, that's 3:15am for us. At my age I shouldn't be doing all nighters just to watch a 0-0 draw with f*ckin Blackburn. Edited November 18, 2007 by B.A.Baracus
