I think most people would like to see that, or some minor variation thereof. I reckon there's ZERO chance of Babel, Benayoun & Lucas all starting, though. Even that side with Kuyt in one of the wide positions would be a decent start, but I reckon Rafa will look towards Pedersen & Bentley and set us up to keep it very tight on the wings - Riise will probably end up left mid as a result.

I think that a lot of their strength is the midfield getting the ball forward quickly to McCarthy and as such Rafa will not play too many 'footballers' in the midfield early on. Not a team I would want to see but would not surprise me to see;

Me too but then again not. Finnan has played there before (not for a while I'll grant you) and Aurelio is not really a full-back, more of a wing back. My thinking is that Rafa does tend to try and nullify other's strengths first - and I see Pedersen/Bentley their main threats rather than Dunn and Tugay.

Sweet Lord above - I know you said its not the team you wanted to see but that could kill someone.

 

4 full backs and 2 work horses upfront - we didnt show that much respect to Barca in the Nou Camp. The only thing that could make that the worst possible team is replacing Stevie with Momo.

Weak at fullback, can be got at through the middle, not the most mobile. We should be putting them under pressure and running them about, hope to god we dont go to mark their wide men.

 

They actually go on their movement as a team and quick passing through and from midfield getting people in space and dangerous places, not on those wide players running at people, concentrate on the stifling the source and giving them problems to defend.
