the scums fans are falling apart!

"I'm sorry but.......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How the f*** can you lot be so optimistic? Optimistic to the point that people are actually getting shouted down for airing the quite obvious negative reality about the start to this season and the effect that it will have on the rest of the season?

Fact is last season ended with a 5 or 6 point difference between us and Chelsea and with just 2 games played there's already a 4 point gap and that's with us being without Ronaldo for the next 3 games, Rooney for the next 2 months and our next game being a manchester derby of which we have a pretty awful record in as of late not mentioning how well City are playing at this moment in time.

I'm sorry but I really cant see any crumb of comfort or any reason to being showing any positivity at this moment in time especially when only in my opinion of course we're going to fall further behind after this weekend"

it has been fantastic reading this week thats for sure..

You read the thread about Vidic? Some manc posted a picture of our Djimi giving him a one handed shove and some how they have turned it round and are making out Vidic is some hard b*****d...

They are deluded f***s... I thought this place was bad when things go t*** up, but that place is ridiculous.. spoilt aint the word.

They're a bunch of idiots. They're still the team to beat, over-reacting after two draws is pathetic. I won't be writing them off till we're 9 points clear with 2 games left.

Just been out with some mancs. Never known them so tense, barely a word said about footy all night.

Haahahahahahahahaa!

smithdown "ive never known them so tense"

they are muppets. Anyone who watch theat reading game and cant see a crumb of comfort is deluded, they battered them, they just didnt get the break. United have played far worse than that and won by 2 or 3 goals. Its far too early for us to be smug about their bad run.

Seriously.

Dead jumpy. Dunno why, seems a bit extreme. I reckon if yous lose on sunday then they will suddenly start droning on about FCUM again in depressingly earnest terms. The nadir came when you lost to Lille that time and these lads made the claim that it was a victory in the long term fight against glazer. "It's a win/win situation", they said.

Fwiw, yous always batter man city when the blues get all excited and think they have got the upper hand.

Hope this helps. :)

Ah FCUM. Hilarious.

There's a direct correlation, I'm thinking, between man utd's league position and the number of fcum games they attend (on principle). I might produce a graph to prove it if I can be arsed.

"This is doing my head in.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, for the third game in a row, we were largely magnificent and didn't win. I tend to think about United when I'm trying to go to sleep at night and tonight I'll still be dreaming of the football we play and the players we have at our disposal. It's almost impossible to imagine we have failed to win after playing like that three games in a row. I have no explanation."

:D:D:lol::lol: "largely magnificent".......hahahahah you got to be kidding me

To be fair they totally dominated City today, but they were never going to score. City defended well but everywhere else they were no great shakes. Not much of a criticism though, as that's football. United were much the same at Anfield last season and they went home with the points and we got f*** all.

not tense...pissed off at the start we're having...but i know itll come good soon enough, we were the better team today without doubt, but sometimes you dont win them.

as i said weve some numpties who support us (smithdowns mates by the sounds of it)...so have you lot.

some people are just born to gurn when anything goes wrong.....hence youll get those type of threads.

50 people having a rant on a forum or 5 c***s phoning 606 does not represent all fans....should keep that in mind now and again

united look like arsenal. all tippy-tappy approach play but not end product. wouldn't be surprised to see them sign a striker before the window closes.

gotta say micah richards was superb today for city........great reader of the game for someone so young.

I thought his reading and positional play was poor, allowing him to make those last ditch clearances and tackles. Thing his with his pace and strength, he can afford to be out of position.

Gonna be a damn good defender mind.

Posted (edited)

Micah Richards was indeed superb, but the highlight has got to be the moment when Tevez missed that header at the far post and the subsequent footage of Sir Alex jumping off the bench and raising his arms aloft in triumph, only for it to dawn on him that Tevez had actually missed.

Priceless. I can't access YouTube at my new work (IT Police), but if anyone has a link to this footage please post it for the benefit of everyone else. It'll take your mind off Rob Styles for a few moments at least.

EDIT: Just seen the animated gif in the 'other matches' thread. Fantastic!

Letting both Smith and Rossi go whilst Saha was still injured certainly isn't looking like the best decision of Ferguson's career.

neither of them would really give him what's missing though. they've got no penalty box striker alternative to saha. viduka went on a free this summer, anelka's available etc.

If they spend £12m on Anelka that will be panic buying to the extreme. They scored the most goals in the league last year, and now they've added 3 attacking talents, they don't need a striker. When Rooney and Tevez are fit Anelka wouldn't get near the first XI. Besides he's very similar to Saha.
