Has resigned from Juve, apparently, despite getting them promoted.

Any jobs going in the French league right now?

Chelsea?

Would complete the circle if Mourinho went to Real, but I'm not sure he's high profile enough for Roman

Isn't Sven about to join a Prem club?

Not going to Lyon by the look of things...

Sochaux have confirmed Alain Perrin as Lyon's next manager, but the two clubs are still haggling over a compensation package.

Perrin was earmarked by the French champions as the ideal successor to the recently departed Gerard Houllier.

Plessis confirmed Perrin will leave the club, however the former Marseille and Portsmouth boss will not be installed until negotiations between the two parties reach a satisfactory conclusion.

"Perrin will be Lyon's next coach," Plessis told RMC.

"If I had sacked my coach, it would have cost me money, so it seems only right to me that I should ask for a fee.

"It is logical because he is a coach who is under contract."

Les Lioneaux have identified Le Mans coach Frederic Hantz as Perrin's replacement.

Juve showing the usual loyalty and gratitude that one would expect from such a lovely family club. cutns.

Alan Perrin the new Lyon coach?

How bizarre, he seemed to have the charisma and managing skills of a plant pot whilst at Portsmouth.

And a dull, thick plant pot at that
