I like the way Fat Sam shows he has no knowledge about football! "Neither side tried to win in it in extra time!" Excuse me didn't Kuyt have a perfectly good goal chalked off? "There was one ball from SWP to Drogba but of course he missed it." And then this pearler "Chech is the one lookout for, of the two keepers, in the penaties.".....unless of course he meant who'd be the busier of walking to the back of the net to get the ball back.

Love the noise when their players are walking up to take penalties, and they when Reina saves them. Brilliant. That must put you off! And can you imagine such a massive out pouring of joy when you're in such a moment of misery. Have that Robben.

 

And then the noise when Kuyt scores. Unbelievable.

 

The shot of Robbie and Stevie when Kuyt walks up is priceless too. And also Bellamy telling Rafa he's a f***ing genius!

The bit that interests me is the Geremi penalty. Did Reina walk right up to Geremi? Can't tell from the footage, but they show Reina staring (probably at Geremi) and a shot later he's walking back (from the penalty spot?) to the goalline.

 

Around the 5.35 mark.

 

If you pause it on 5.4o you can tell by the white line in the background he must be around the penalty spot.

 

Did he play psychological warfare with Geremi's mind?

After Geremi's save the camera cuts to Rafa and he slowly checks his watch. I love that. There is no way he's not loving it and there is no fecking reason why you need to know the time during such a situation.

Feckin hell I hadn't watched that shoot out since it happened. Such great saves by Pepe! Really amazing how he manages to guess the direction. Plus it's weird how early how early he goes.
