In 2005 Shaun Murphy was in the semi final of the world championship snooker final at the Crucible, Leonardo Di Caprio, Cate Blanchett, Scorcese and Eastwood were nominated for an Oscar, an Irish horse won the Grand National, a prince of the British Royal family got into a ruck on the street with paparazzi, Eastenders was s*** and Liverpool beat AC Milan to win the European cup.....

Lightning to strike twice..?

Seriously though, Ken is fed up with Dierdre and is off. He's called one of his ex's.

this didnt happen in 2005 for me but that reminds me how annoyed I am at Chorus (my cable provider). 2 mins before the kick off of the 2nd leg v chelsea my cable cuts off. Chorus are pretty famous for giving poor serverice however I have not had much trouble with their tv service before. I was of course getting settled in (if that's possible) and just as I started the usual rubbing of hands and random shouts of "come on!", off it goes.

I of course totally panicked... ran around the apartment looking for an aerial but also wondering what to do.. didnt find one. Called my dad who reminds me that you can make an aerial out of any co-axial cable.. so I then ran around looking for one i could cut up... took me a while to find one and strip off the sheeth but I ended up only missing about 15 mins. After that I was totally fired up, actually I was borderline insane... it really did make the match that bit more exciting to be honest.

Chorus service came back on just before the 2nd half kick off and a friend (utd fan) who was with me had said that if it were him he'd not have turned back over to the cable service for fear of tempting fate (as we were winning 1-0)... but i gave 2 fingers to superstition and turned over to the bestt picture and sound. I wanted to turn the crowd up loud ya see and I couldnt do it on the aerial as it kept changing between mono and stereo sound due to the reception and that was very annoying.
