2 off.

1 Frederic Kanouté (MLI) Sevilla 19

- Diego Milito (ARG) Zaragoza 19

3 de Assis Moreira Ronaldinho (BRA) Barcelona 17

4 Ruud Van Nistelrooy (NLD) Real Madrid 16

5 David Villa (ESP) Valencia 13

6 Fernando Morientes (ESP) Valencia 12

7 Fernando Baiano (BRA) Celta 11

- Fernández Luis García (ESP) Espanyol 11

- Florent Sinama-Pongolle (FRA) Recreativo de Huelva 11

- Nikola Zigic (SRB) Racing Santander 11

11 Diego Forlán (URY) Villarreal 10

- Raúl Tamudo (ESP) Espanyol 10

- Fernando Torres (ESP) Atlético de Madrid 10

14 Ezequiel Garay (ARG) Racing Santander 9

- Daniel González Güiza (ESP) Getafe C.F 9

- Javier Portillo (ESP) Nástic Tarragona 9

17 Samuel Eto'o (CMR) Barcelona 8

- Bosko Jankovic (SRB) Mallorca 8

- Clemente Luis Fabiano (BRA) Sevilla 8

Milito's not half done well looking at that. Zaragoza have been floating about the UEFA cup places, so they're not that bad, but to score that many goals in a not brilliant team says a lot about how much talent he probably has. Also highlights how little Villa has scored this season - only got 13 and he takes penalities as well - and Valencia want a bomb for him?

Having two that score around 13 each is better than one scoring 19 and the other scoring 6 though, depending on when and where your goals come obviously.

Also, didn't realise Ronaldinho was that far up the scoring charts, hasn't he scored about 10 penalties though?

Pongolle and Barragan have both done well I believe.

Barragan really intrigued me. He seemed to be the best of that young bunch who Rafa signed. I hope he can come back to us one day if he continues to develop.

There has been a disturbing lack of news about LeTallec. I was hoping he'd be sold on for a nice wad of cash. No such luck I suppose.

Barragan was sold last year. We supposedly had a 'buy back' option (of course dependent on whether he would even want to come back) and then some reports said this option was dropped as part of the Arbeloa deal.

Think Le Tallec has done as well this season as he did last season. ;)

I see Milito has caught Kanoute now. He's my choice for this summer - proper poacher he is, great finisher with fantastic movement off the ball. I think we'd potentially get better value from him than the likes of Villa.

He's scored at a rate of one in every two games over numerous seasons in Argentina, Italy and now Spain so he's shown he can adapt to the different styles of football. Paying £25m for Villa on the other hand worries me; he could be great but he could just as easily flop in my opinion and start crying about going back to Spain and the weather being bad etc.

I think you'd get Milito for about half that amount, maybe a bit more.

why are we so interested in Torres when Milito is scoring so much more

has Torres been injured all season ?

I think Liverpool were also interested in the Gonzales and the Garcia on that list too

Are we forgetting Carson?

Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson has been named player of the year at loan club Charlton Athletic.

The 21-year-old became the first loan player to win the fans' vote at The Valley.

Carson, who is on a season-long loan from Anfield, beat last year's winner Darren Bent into second place.

it's still a hell of a lot

He's the new Steve Bruce, however his head is not quite as fat.

Well done to Carson on beating Bent to player of the season at Charlton, very impressive. :applause:

Sadly if I were him I'd be looking for first team football next season so he'll probably go; he's got every chance of becoming England's regular number one if he does so as well. On the up side, we really should get a good fee for him now.
