I read somewhere over the weekend, that finishing 3rd in the premiership gives a big advantage over finishing 4th as it means the team finishing in 3rd doesnt have to play an extra qualifying round. Does anyone know what the situation is? as i thought 3rd and 4th both went into the final qualifying round?

3rd and 4th both need to qualify, the only difference in finishing third is more money off the Premiership and a bigger percentage of tv money in the CL the following year.

It was MENTAL, anyhow. And a World Thingy last summer. No wonder we started slow.

I heard this on some programme on the telly two or three weeks ago. I nearly posted this then, although I'm sure it isn't the case. Maybe its changed ?

 

As an aside, our run in is Reading (A), Man City (H), Boro (H), Wigan (H), P'mouth (A), Fulham (A), Charlton (H).

 

Arsenal have W Ham (H), N'castle (A), Bolton (H), Man City (H), Spurs (A), Fulham (H), Chavs (H), P'mouth (A).

 

 

 

I'd put money on the a*** finishing 4th, but if they lose v Bolton it will be squeeky bum time for them and will go to the last weekend.
