Chili Palmer Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 PepeFinnan Carra Agger AurelioGerrard Masch Xabi RiiseCrouch Bellamy Theres the team that will win it...
Guest Snorky Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I know it wont be, but I'd like to see the same team play that beat Arsenal.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I know it wont be, but I'd like to see the same team play that beat Arsenal. The moment I saw Gerrard off Crouch with Pennant and Gonzalez wide and Alonso and Masch in the middle, I thought that Rafa might use this system though with different personnel (Finnan, Riise, Kuyt). Not so sure now. I still think it may be 4-4-2 though.
Hieronymus Bosch Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I know it wont be, but I'd like to see the same team play that beat Arsenal. Same here, but perhaps with Finnan and Riise coming in. I'm not all that fussed whether Gerrard plays in the middle in general, but playing Pennant gives us a much better shape and we're much more of a threat going forward with him out wide. Also think that after the Arsenal win, Mascherano and Alonso should start, so to have all of the above play, Saturday's 4-4-1-1 formation is the only real option... Hieronymus Bosch Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Pennant is so good now that he can play in 2 positions Or Riise, even. What a puppet I am...

Falconhoof Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 youtube - LFC 2 PSV 0 Gerrard, Crouch We're away. Therefore Bellamy is first name down Still injured apparently. Lindfield not in reserves lineup tonight, probably on the bench.
redjersey Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Still injured apparently. Lindfield not in reserves lineup tonight, probably on the bench.Bellamy has travelled, according to the Times anyway, and he hopes to play. No Lindfield in the squad.

Finnan - maybe, the other two - no thanks. Crouch and Bellamy if we are going with two up top, and if not, Crouch on his own in a similar role to Saturday.
Falconhoof Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Bellamy has travelled, according to the Times anyway, and he hopes to play. No Lindfield in the squad. Oh well, if thats the actual squad fair enough.
Swagger Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Same formation as Arsenal, with two changes: ReinaFinnan Carra Agger AurelioPennant Mascherano Alonso RiiseGerrardCrouch
San Diego Red Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Arbeloa defo deserves a run, in at least 1 of the legs.
Guz Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I'd like to see, but probably won't ReinaFinnan Carra Agger Arbeloa/RiiseGerrard Xabi Mascherano AurelioBellamy Crouch
San Diego Red Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 ReinaFinnan Carra Agger Arbeloa/RiiseGerrard Xabi Mascherano AurelioBellamy CrouchCrouchy on the left? And Riise at left back?
Guest Snorky Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Just leaving for Speke Airport now, cannot wait.
Puskas Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Is Kuyt injured or something? He doesn't seem to be in anyone's team! I reckon he will start with Bellamy (assuming Bellamy is fit enough to start!)
Guest jjasonuk Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 (edited) I reakon we might get the 451 formation tonight Finnan Carra Agga Aruillio Masc AlonsoGerrard Kuyt Riise Crouch I've re-wrote that 5 times I give up I havn't got a f in clue ! lol No No thats it my final team, strong solid with goals in it, Gerrard, Kuyt, Riise & Crouch all have goals in them. Maybe you could call it a 442 with Kuyt told to drop off a little to help midfield out with Riise and Gerrard told push on as usual. Edited April 3, 2007 by jjasonuk
fellafeen Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Kuyt will definitely play, he's dutch, for this reason i'm fearful he might play zenden on the left. Hoping he goes for this, tough on crouch but he's a great possibility from the bench Finnan Carra Agger ArbeloaGerrard Alsonso Masch RiiseKuyt Bellamy
carrafan Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Arbeloa defo deserves a run, in at least 1 of the legs. Is that analogous with Riise not having a right peg?
Walrus Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Still no team news? This is a slow thread at the moment.
