Evertonian council leader in groundshare call shocker

You can just imagine Gillett and Hicks meeting Kenright :

"So Bill, How much money can you put up for this shared stadium?"

"Erm.... I've got an Everton Mint wrapper and a DVD of Everton greatest training sessions."

Does make you think that Everton MUST be the People's Club

All these politicians doing all they can to get Everton a bigger/better stadium and we all know that a politician does nothing unless there's votes in it. No LFC fan would support it, ergo, in order to be a successful vote winner, there have to be more Everton fans in the Council area than Liverpool

Moyes was right all along

"If they can consider increasing the stadium size, why can?t they consider a shared stadium??

Yeah, cos that's the same.

 Class that. What a muppet!

?Are you telling me a commercial business in America doesn?t sweat the asset? They sweat that asset till they can?t get any more out of it."

I thought they weren't bothered about leaving the city anyway? This fella seems semi-hysterical about it.

They can't move to Speke anyway. They have vey few supporters in the south end of the city, even less than in the east. They'd all get lost on the 80.

The s**** can't fill the pit

What's the thinking behind another stadium?

f*** knows, cant understand it myself, they sell out one game a season at the moment and thats at home to us after tickets are on general sale.

They'd probably get 45k-50k for a year in a new stadium, the novelty will wear off and it'll be back to normal or even worse.

I thought the idea of building a new stadium was because you need it and are missing out on more money being brought into the club, im not sure what their idea is though as it clearly isnt that. The only idea I can think of is "The reds**** are having a new stadium, so the peoples club have to have one too"

Odd how for such a huge club with the "people" behind them that they're obsessed with every thing that we do. They were even mouthing off in the Echo the other day that they're proven to be the "peoples club" because they give money to charity or some s*** like that. Mental.

We can only look on with envy at the "peoples club" "the school of science" the supporters who are "born and not manufactured".

Grrrrrr....... Im angry now.

What happened to their proposed Tesco takeover and new stadium? I was looking foward to snagging some free milk.

Maybe if we screamed no for an hour at a match, they might barely hear.

Only worry is whether the council could say to Liverpool 'you can change the plans on the stadium on the condition you share with everton'? bit sly ,been thinking they could pull some kind of stunt like that for a while now.

Obviously it would be dressed up in different type of language.

Everton fans don't want it.

Liverpool's owners don't want it.

We definitely don't want it.

City Council, led by what appears to be the only blues on Merseyside, keep dragging it up.

to be honest, though he does make clear that the groundshare isn't realistic on a couple of occasions in the story. I reckon he's on a wind-up.

Altohugh if the blues**** can stump up £120 million to pay for half the ground, I'd think about it.
