I couldn't quite get my head around that picture when it was first posted.

There was a broken nose, a foiled pickpocketing, a foiled mugging, Andy banged his head and concussed himself, Jon Hall hurt his shin celebrating, think Lee had his pocket picked too and I got done by the old bill for pissing in the street.

It was quite a night. Unfortunately I´m now back at work.

Been back about an hour now. Did the trip from Teeside with the classy (not) Ryan Air.

It was a good 2/12 days as well. There were Scousers literally everywhere all over Barcelona. The Ramblas was like Clayton Square the whole time. We went to the ground on the morning of the game as they let anyone with a match ticket in free. I've been before and there's nothing there too impressive, the European Cup Winners cups apart. The best thing was the items other sports' stars have left and one of Miguel Indurain's TdF yellow jerseys is on display along with Riddick Bowe's MASSIVE boxing glove and Scotty Pippen's basketball top. Then we could go out into the seats and we looked up and up at where we'd be sitting during the game and to be honest, it's not as bad as people were making out. I think Newcastle's a lot worse.

Then we went back again later on with a big group of lads as their leaders (as we'd been in the avvo) and got into a smashing bar where the staff were made up at our singing. One of the lads, John Kelly, as we were leaving, fell over a traffic bump and was too pissed to get his hands out of the way and butted the floor! There was blood streaming down his face. Anyway, he was so drunk he claimed not to feel anything!

It was mad trying to get into the stadium but our lads, drunk or sober, were a credit, policing everyone ourselves as it was blatantly obvious the Spanish Police couldn't do so. How there wasn't an incident at the gates as kick-off time approached and there was only a very small trickle of people going in was entirely down to the actions of the vast majority of extremely well-behaved Liverpudlians.

You all know about the game so I won't bore you with that but getting out was every bit as bad as getting in. They held us back for a good 20 minutes and then made us go the loooong way down the slow-sloping ramps. Getting back into town was fine. They opened the barriers on the Metro and 3-4 trains-worth of people cleared the crowd completely. Then it was back to the Quiet Man and the not so quiet Toms outside our hotel!

I enjoyed the walk down the slope. Lots of singing and smiling faces. Was good having the players come over when we were waiting to get out as well.

Yeah, but didn't it take like forever? I'd have hated to have come out if we'd been on the end of a hiding. But you know what? We weren't!!!

We jumped into their end, got straight out and managed to get into a Barca bar shortly after the final whistle :)

I hurt my shin getting Terrr's banner down. Good trip. Ricketts isn't too bad a room sharer, it's what he does out of the room that's the problem.

Just got back too - may add more tomorrow, but I finally made it back having had to miss my flight due to my own idiocy - fortunately I managed to squeeze onto the next one

Yeah yeah. What about when we were walking up the Ramblas last night . We were in a group, someone asks the pros how much for ****y ****y. I waited to hear how much, then turned around and found I was with a totally different group.

Oh and LLF moans about his stomach too much ;)

With a few, but notable exceptions.

Those exceptions are complete knob heads. And there were plenty around.

I know Tetti is referring to me in at least one of her above references.

I am worried as to which one.
