Surprised there was no thread on this, well not that surprised seeing as it's a non United player. Anyway what a shocking dive that was and full credit to Graham Poll who's been lambasted of late but he did the right thing today.

Ronaldo has had a few in his United career, I dont think Gerrards one against Sheffield United was a blatant dive, like Ronnie he tried to stay on his feet and the penalty was given for intent. He had another doubtful one for England against Hungary but nothing at the level of Corradi.

I agree, Gerrard has got 2 in particular which arent too disimilar from ronaldos one in turkey for england and one at OT when neville fouled him, when he made no attempt to get out the way of the tackle, infact he left his leg there to make sure

If you dive once a season - shame on you. If you dive seventeen times a season, you're an outright cheat. If you dive seventeen times in the first half, you're Cristiano Ronaldo.

you don't have to move your leg out of the way - see Italy's last min pen vs the aussies. Neill put it on a plate, the eyetie could have hurdled the leg, but why?

 

I don't have a problem with taking those, it's the blatantly no contact ones I hate
