Rafa did play Paletta as right back during preseason so he may have temporary/permanent plans to use him there. I know he made some mistakes, but they will no doubt be ironed out on the training ground.

I haven't seen much of him but apparently he was superb for Sao Paulo especially considering his age. I have a Brazillian mate who thinks he was very unlucky not to get more action in the WC but it was probably due to his lack of action with Real Madrid. I don't think Alves even made the squad did he?

Yeah but the way he goes into some of his tackles after a couple of run outs at RB no one dared go near him!
