Cunny Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 People in work are saying there have been reports that Gerrard and Beckham have had a row in training. something about Gerrard blaming Beckham for all the long balls england play. Can't find any mention of it on the internet - anyone heard anything?
Guest TanMan Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I saw Ste have a dig at him on the pitch Tuesday. May ring true, both players are grown up and professional though
Cooldude Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Apparently the report's from that rag, so it probably ain't true
aka Dus Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Heh heh. Stevie might be on thin ice there, to be fair.
Guest 3an86 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Can't see it myself. Another attempt to stick a spanner in the works probably. If there was any 'bust up' it wouldn't of come out in the press.
Stevie H Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 i could definitely see gerrard defending crouch, who seems to be being made the scapegoat for england's long-ball crap.
Rimbeux Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 i could definitely see gerrard defending crouch, who seems to be being made the scapegoat for england's long-ball crap. aye
DanielS Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 i could definitely see gerrard defending crouch, who seems to be being made the scapegoat for england's long-ball crap. He plays them to himself, dontcha know.
Stevie H Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 i'd also like to hear reports of carragher having pinned lampard up against a wall and nutted him.
Cobs Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 He plays them to himself, dontcha know. Owen said as much when he 'slammed' him the other day
Gravy Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Owen said as much when he 'slammed' him the other day Owen was completely out of order in that interview.
Figaro Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Owen was completely out of order in that interview. What interview?
Jonesy Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 What interview? Owen saying that England playing the long ball wasn't going to get thr best out of him.....something along the lines of it might work for Petrer Crouch....but I am not that type of player etc etc
Owen1978 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 (edited) Thats the wrong one, theres another one where he was interviewed after the match i think Edited June 22, 2006 by Owen1978
JohnnyH Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 vicious attack on Crouch, that Really the most pathetic attempt by some Liverpool fans to have a go at Owen if they are trying to call that an attack on Crouch by Owen.

Can't find any mention of it on the internet - anyone heard anything? Don?t know about this tiff but Captain Bunty is attracting stick from surprising sections of the media. Alan Green and Chris Waddle on 5 Live last night claimed he was slow, unfit, inaccurate in his distribution, woeful at crosses and lamentable at defending free kicks.Jeff Powell in the Daily Fatherland slammed his poor leadership and too cosy relationship with Sven while his dear lady wife was accused of instigating the WAGS at the WC for publicity purposes. Clearly Powell is well out of order. The WAGS are England?s finest contribution to the tournament. Their unstinting efforts at lunching, shopping and looking magnificent are a source of inspiration to us all.Long may it continue.
Guest Cally77 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Really the most pathetic attempt by some Liverpool fans to have a go at Owen if they are trying to call that an attack on Crouch by Owen. What is pathetic is some so called Liverpol fans taking sides with a devious little traitor, who hasn't played for us over two seasons, over one of our current players, even if he is taller than average. I guess it makes sense if you only started supporting us during the glory Owen years eh...

Ripley Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Alan Green and Chris Waddle on 5 Live last night claimed he was slow, unfit, inaccurate in his distribution, woeful at crosses and lamentable at defending free kicks. The graphic in the Guardian today is very revealing. Can't be arsed to link it but it shows a 60% drop in Beckham activity in the second half of the Sweden game.
