Just been reading the match reports from the game, we are now officially a one man team again. Oh and we were 'lucky' to win a game we did not deserve to win. The broadsheets are laughable, really they are.

Own goal

Keeper spill to a player two yards offside

Cross that went in

And WE were lucky...

Fact are, we, like all great TEAMS do, overcame adversity and bad luck and STILL won. We are a great team and are fortunate enough to have the worlds best player. You never hear Arsenal or Barcelona described as one man teams when Henry or Rohnalidho score blinders and win games for them. Man utd are very, very average if you take rooney out of their team.

Ahhh f'ck it, why do I bother moaning about these wan'kers.

greatest FA cup final ever

greatest European Cup final ever

The national media should be getting right behind benitez and Liverpool because we are the only team that can and indeed have, stopped the monster that is Chelsea winning everything and turning football in this country into a tedious bore.

I love how the use the fact we have the worlds finest midfielder as a weapon to beat the rest of the team with!

Arsenal are the epitome of a one man team.

ahem, manu, carling cup. cough.

otehrwise you're right though - the media got so caught up with the idea of it being West Ham's year that they seem to have written out the fact that they had three fairly flukey goals and we should have had 4 legit one from 'proper' football.

Bloke in The Mirror banging on about both of Pepe's mistakes. Apparently he should have saved Konchesky's fluke

I immediately blamed Reina, but when i saw it again (after i'd finished cursing at the TV and kicking the radiator) Pepe had no chance.

Did the fact he made the save of the season get much of a mention? Probably tucked away somewhere!

Not much to say, is there?

He obviously thinks he should have saved the fluke Konchesky cross?

Deluded bitter spurs fan.

What about the save of the season?

And the penalties!!?

Pepe picked himself up.

Great man.

Three mistakes if you count the fact he failed to understand what Carra was up to

How the hell do some of these people get away with being so blatently thick?

"one man team"ism is just b******s...whether talking bout us, you lot or a*** or whoever.

pathetic.

Certainly true with you lot, they're ALL feckin shyte. :)

Why the f*ck aren't Arsenal a one man team (Henry) or United (Rooney) ? As far as I can see they are both as reliant on their main men as we are on ours.

Truth be told, Stevie G's had a poor run of form of late, yet the team have won 12 on the bounce. Sure, we look better with Gerrard in full cry, but then all great teams have one player that elevates them to the higher ground.

I remember the early 80's team looking very ordinary during a 3 month spell when Dalglish was out with a broken cheekbone, and the late 80's team definitely lost plenty when Barnes was injured.

on the og I got the feeling at Reina did shout and that's why Carra stepped over it with his right, so he could let it go through to Reina. Just unfortunate that it hit his left as he ran across it.

jonathan northcott in the sunday times said if west ham had gerrard, they would have won 10-0.

maybe it was meant flippantly, but it is the sort of crass journalism that bugs me after a good match.

sentences starting with "If" are inherently dodgy in match reviews. Particularly when you decide arbitrarily you could take someone from one side to the other, and not even replace them anyway! pr!ck!

i thought Carra tried to check his stride as the cross was hit slightly behind him and was just unfortunate that the ball hit his left leg, nowt he could do - if Pepe had shouted for him to leave it i'd have expected Carra to jump out of the way

anyway 'leave it' is not in the vocabulary of a professional or even park player

it's 'keeper's' or nothing

or 'away' if you want to marshall your defence

Reina was at fault for the 3 goals, and disgracfully let in one of the penos so he was in fact at fault for 4 goals. Bring back Mike Hooper.

Keeper spill to a player two yards offside

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. Ashton was at least a yard offside (I froze the shot just as the ball was kicked) but there wasn't a mention of this anywhere.

Bugs me slightly, but then we won, so who gives a stuff.
