To be honest, quite a bit of the 7 million was if 'we won the league', 'we won cups', 'pennant got an england callup' etc. Similar to what we paid for Crouch when we bought him from Southampton. Dont think Jermaine has cost us too much at all.
True. But dont you agree that Barry wont play for them next season whatever be the case and would either be an Anfield or the Emirates? However high Villa value him at, they will have to let him go if we go near their valuation of him. It'll be very tough to sort out a deal and we will have to pay close to what Spurs value him at, but if he wants to leave i dont how they can just make him stay?
What if Keane wants to go? They cant not let him go in that case as they'd risk having an unhappy player on the bench. Its completely Keane's call as far as i'm concerned. If he decides to stay on, then we wont get him even if we offer 20 million. If he wants to come, then Spurs dont have a choice.
I dont think it matters at all, how small you are. David Silva is so slightly built but with his excellent ball control wins a lot of free kicks. If anything being small makes you have a low centre of gravity and hence a potentially better runner with the ball and hard to take it off you without fouling. Aguero would be the perfect partner for Torres, apart from Keane.
Cojones means 'b******s'. Remember that from the programme which had Pepe, Arbeloa, Torres along with Robinson, Dalglish and Souness. The part where he was called 'Cojones El Perro' by everyone (the dogs b******s).
How do you count short term progression quantitatively, then? Comparing with the team who won it as a base seems a good idea to see how worse we were as compared to them in the season. Means nothing long term though as people forget.
