If you want to consider the Agbonlahor chance that would have made it 2-0 along with Benteke's goal, you have to consider Suarez's 1 v 1 miss as well. Still only a goal behind at half time. It wasn't a secret that our midfield and defense were weak before the game and nothing has changed after either. We're going to have to improve on it at the end of the season irrespective of today's results. Again, we would have gotten wins against a lot more teams like villa (and better, even) if we'd been more professional at times. I really didnt mind Lucas or Carra taking out their biggest threats and giving away a foul when they running with the ball and about to go into dangerous areas time and again. And didnt mind Benteke being grabbed and pushed around in the box for their corners even if Johnson gave away a silly foul that they almost scored off of. Their three forwards are physical specimens and we were always going to look clumsy at times when they pulled things off. Are there major squad flaws that need to be worked on? Yes, but it can only be done during the transfer window. Were there several minor flaws that were apparent during the game? A lack of an outball in the last twenty perhaps, amongst others? Sure. But, we deserved the win today. And for a side that had only won 4 in 14 away games this season, it was a very good result. And I'm sure Rodgers would be have noticed the same flaws that an idiot like me did, and more and be working on them with the team. I'm not complaining.

Absolutely. We'd had four away wins all season, went to Villa who are fighting relegation and had won two in a row, and sold out their stadium for the first time this season. It's clear that they were on a high and were there for the fight, unlike the side that has shown up most season. We came from behind, missed a couple of chances to go 3-1 up and simply decided to shut up shop and did so quite comfortably. I don't think that there's anything major to complain about.

Is Matej Vydra any good? Seems to have scored a s***load for Watford and a couple today for the Czech Republic.
