Sturridge didn't have much support today and did well especially in the first half, by being a good outball for us. Made some wrong decisions but the improvement in knowledge of the system will come over pre-season. I was surprised by the lack of urgency in the second half. We needed the win to challenge Everton for sixth place, they didn't. Also, once Henderson went off, we lost control in midfield. It was a tough decision for Rodgers to take Henderson off, Sturridge needed some support upfront but Downing had to be kept on as Baines was on our right and Coutinho was our only advanced player who could unlock their defence who had so many back. We could have won if Enrique had a good game, which he didnt. Johnson looked absolutely knackered today. I'd rest him now for the next two games before he pulls a muscle. I think that someone like Vargas would provide our squad something that we dont have, next season.
