Totally agree. Gerrard goes missing, but you always see Alonso mopping up, closing down and trying to shift the ball to make us tick. He misses some passes, but he runs his feet into the ground all the time. As for the Gala game, Alonso was left so alone in the centre that it was criminal. It was easy to see why Rafa plays Gerrard on the flank. He lacks dicipline and needs 2 people covering for him.
