That could be, but I get a sense there are some genuine sentiments underneat. Cheap shots at OOTs/OOCs are often claimed to be humourous/tongue in cheek when in reality they aren't.

I watched the game: Villareal vs. Atletico. Result: 1-1. I mean, what a bunch of pussies and cry-babies most of these la liga players are. They spent more time on the floor than a rug! And the ref was [censored]. He certainly gave the home field advantage. Everytime a player went down, which they did whenever there was contact, he blew. What a joke! Usually it isn't this bad. Torres scored a great goal. His good run in the left side of the box was picked out by a great Luccin pass. Torres , while running, headed it high into the opposite corner. Very good finish, I must say. Apart from that he mostly did [censored] all. He needs to work harder. That said, he was decent in the air, made some good runs off the ball though. The lad has pace. He had one other chance, but was pushed off the ball just as he was getting ready to lob the goalie, after being set up by a good through ball on the right side of the area. He did work harder after Kezman was sent off and he was up front on his own. And I forgot to add, Atletico isn't a very good team, so he is actually doing pretty well.

It seems a new trend is brewing. Terry did it when he tried to stop Ronny just before he scored, and I just saw Salgado do it against Mista now. I am talking about defenders bodychecking attackers and then going down themselves as to avoid a foul being called. Terry went in hard on Ronny, but Ronny skipped by him. Terry though went down like a sack making sure the ref didn't give a free kick. Salgado rushed in and took out Mista, who made a meal out of it, and then fearing the consequences threw himself down as to pretend it was a "collision" or something. Haven't really noticed this before now. Anyone else seen this? Is it just a recent thing?
