  1. I have noticed this too. Our players arrive too late, and no one seems to bother gunning for the first post.
  2. If I was Rafa, I would also favour a player who worked hard in training and matches, could take advice and suited the team system instead of one who doesn't have the right mentality. Favouritism? I wouldn't call it that. I would call it inevitable common sense. Get to work Cisse lad! Earn your place in the team.
  3. Moro scored against Anderlecht too.

    Zonal Marking

Our defensive record speaks for itself. Tell that ignoramus to watch a replay of the Crouch goal against the mancs and then praise man marking.
  5. Tevez is pure class, and would s*** all over many a PL defender.
  6. I want someone with a burning passion to play for LFC, and who are top quality.
  7. I think you are spot on. Especially about the 50/50 decisions. Kewell deserved to be booked earlier, that I will concede. And like I read from another poster here, the red allowed some physical contact. The problem was that he allowed the mancs to kick the s*** out of our players and lunge into challenges, but when we did it was a free kick. Very bad game by the ref imo.
  8. This is 100% right.
  9. Ah, forgot Tevez. So Tevez and Podolski two good options. And the two mentioned earlier: Klose and Berbatov. Klose is getting on a bit though.
  10. Berbatov and Klose are pretty good shouts. Not in fantasy land either.
  11. Hahah.. brilliant. Our fans should make a song about that, to the tune of Kalinka.

    Corners

Not right. Murphy was very good at set pieces.

    Morientes

I agree partially, which is why I edited my post. But the fact that moro gets muscled off the ball doesn't discredit my point about all the moves breaking down when Cisse gets the ball, far from it.

    Morientes

Add to that the fact that everytime we try to build a move and the move breaks down when ball gets to Cisse. And yes, Nando needs to beef up. Cause he is getting muscled off the ball all the time. I would've expected him to cope better with the physicality of this league by now, but because he has a 1000 times better understanding of the game than Cisse, I will grant him some more time.

    Morientes

You are right in a way. Because it doesnt seem like they have learned anything from it!

    Morientes

Yes, that would be too much. But how about watching the whole game before hitting the internet to slate the players? I hope people like that didn't stop watching the CL final because we were crap in the first half.
  17. Two goals more than tevez last year, and top scorer with 22 goals in the league. not too shabby

    Morientes

You see, people tend to judge Moro only on goals. When Crouch is brought up, then it is convenient to start talking about what he brings to the team apart from goals. Personal campaigns against players are pretty easy to spot. They are all over the internet.

    Morientes

And conveniently leaving out his 2nd half performance? Daft.
  20. And this is credible I mean? Since no one seems to question it at all.

    Free Fowler

¨ Those stats are b******s imo. We play it long to Crouch and Moro, they trap it, keep it, so that the team can move up the pitch and support them. Then we establish play around the opposition box, mostly.

    Free Fowler

We play less counter attacking footy now, compared to the GH era, when that was all we did. Rafa's style is more possesion based, and we pass it around the box and then get the cross in. Counter attacking footy is something Rafa usually applies when we are already up, trying to kill the game. Normally you wont see us counter attack a lot when the game is still even since there is a higher risk of losing the ball. Fowler may be washed up, slower and half injured in your opinion. I saw him in a few games for City last season, at the end, and he was very good. Awareness, finding space in the box, making smart little runs and playing others into good positions. Yes, he was slow as f***, but he is a proper footballer, not primarly an athlethe like Heskey. And it shows. On a free and a pay as you play deal for 6 months, I fail to see how it would be too bad a deal. He could offer something different than the current strikers imo, and is more suited to the possesion based style around the box, getting crosses in, than the hoof over the top that used to be under GH. And GH f***ed him up, and then he f***ed up himself too. Not genius on either part. As for the marketing value of signing Fowler it would be significant I believe. It would also be a nice decoy for Parry if we fail to bring in a right midfielder, not that I am overly concerned about that at the moment, this transfer window. That could keep some of the fans quiet until the summer. Biased Fowler Rant Over....for now
  23. 2.5 is not enough imo. He is quality and would be first choice at many PL clubs. Fulham got Niemi for 1.5, but that ain't representative for his ability, and thus no benchmark for Dudeks value.
  24. Zak was truly shocking when he played in the league cup this year. He was torn to shreds.
  25. I would deal Finnan for Zambrotta in a heartbeat.
