We didnt just have 94-97 Fowler though, we also had 98-02 & 05/06 Fowler and Torres was better than that one. True, but i'd say Owen & Torres were better players during their time with us than Mane was.

Seems a lot of money for a 20 year old with 30 appearances at Rennes. From the 5 minute youtube i saw: his dangly legs remind me of Djimi Traore and he slides in a lot rather that stay on his feet. Looks like he's built like a tank though.

I’d definitely keep Jones. Perfectly fine squad player who’s happy not to start every week. Fills a home grown club spot for the CL as well, which is relevant if we get 4th.

Wasn't a joke, was a bit off topic. There's some similarities though between Slot and Rodgers: good first seasons, then the wheels come off. Was it? Oh balls.

Rodgers' first season was really good, we were a joy to watch with Gerrard, Suarez, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturrdige. 4-0 up against Arsenal after 20 minutes, i thought he was the real deal. Shame he turned into David Brent.

It feels like our players havent been fully fit half the time. Many of the game Isak, Bradley, Frimpong and Gomez were on the pitch they were working towards match fitness. As if the players on the pitch weren't fully available.
