As a Liverpool supporter I watch every one of my teams games, either at the ground or on the telly. As a non Manchester United fan I always watch their games when they play us but only now and then (and never live) when they play other teams. How can a Liverpool supporter compare the merits (positive or negative) of these two players when clearly they must have seen one player play much more than the other??

There's no doubt that Sven's an idiot and that taking 4 strikers including 2 crocked ones is suicidal. I'd just like to point out, however, that we won a Champions League with 4 strikers of supposed limited talent ( plus Garcia) 2 or 3 of whom were crocked at any one time during the bulk of the campaign.
