I'd have Fowler on the bench maybe, but definately wouldn't start wth him. Despite Kuyt looking jigged I still think he's our best option alongside Bellamy

Think credit should be given when its due, Pennant did OK tonight and was our 2nd best player. Give the lad youir full support and then if he does eventually fail at least he can't say he hasn't be given a fair chance

In what way? He tracks back, he tries to get the ball back when he's lost it, and he makes forward runs when central midfielders have the ball. I agree he isnt the world's best tackler but when confidence is low it often appears that someone isn't trying. I think you are being a bit unfair to the lad

When you think about it, it is pretty difficult to watch the movement, distribution and overall contribution of all 11 players in a game, all at once, whilst simultaneously clapping, singing and jumping around (all supporters also have their own personal agendas to contend with)

No in my opinion he hasn't, but Rafa always seems to err on the side of caution don't you think?

No, but at least he stays there. Stevie often had to go looking for the ball in the centre today to try to get involved, leaving the right under utilised in attack and over exposed in defence.
