He looks a no nonsence defender who is also comfortable on the ball. He does have a bit of cleverness about him too. I don't think we could have asked for more from his first two full games.

Pleat can't pronouce names but he knows his football and was complimentary about us all night. Townsend was decent too.

Great performance by us. We snuffed out everything second half and had chances ourselves. And Riise has got a right foot after all. A well taken first time shot. Judging by Sly Barcelona lost. Did they f***. We won it! The shock on their faces when they went back to the studio and Gray's incessant banging on about how poor Barca were. Well, f*** me, we didn't let them play and played well ourselves and deserved it.

An absolute legend is our Sami. Hopefully he'll stay on and play the kind of role he has this season but if he really wants to leave to play more regularly he'll be allowed to I'm sure.

He should be first choice left back now. He was superb today.
