Argie signing confirmed REDS CONFIRM DEAL FOR YOUNGSTER Paul Eaton 28 November 2006 Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Argentinian youngster Emiliano Insua from Boca Juniors in January. The 17 year old left back will sign an eighteen month loan deal when the transfer window reopens, with Liverpool having the option to make the deal permanent at the end of next season. Insua is part of the Argentine Under-20 side who are currently world champions at their level and manager Rafael Benitez is looking forward to welcoming him to Melwood. "He is a good, young player with a lot of potential," said Benitez today. "He will come to us in January and we'll start to assess him at Melwood."

For what it's worth (very little!) I think Rafa will go with Carra. Why take Agger out of the back four when he has been playing well. Carra is also used to be being played in different positions. Having said that Rafa must be considering Agger to have talked to him about it. I'd be surprised if Guthrie starts. Sami is such an agile player though - maybe it should be him.

He looked like was lacking a bit of match sharpness last night but he does bring that bit of something extra that you need to break teams down. Good cross for Kuyt and a couple of other things were nice. He'll play on the weekend on one of the wings.

Two good assists from Dirk. Wasn't one of his best games but he had one moment of class for Gerrard's goal and showed a good bit of composure to head across to Crouch for the second. Isn't their goalie also part owned by Chelsea aswell?

He wasn't on a freebie. We bought out a pre-contract agreement he had with a Uruguayan club for his 'services' for about 2mil. Even more worthwhile!

Pennant is playing like a f***ing pussy. Too scared to go for a 50-50. Not really knowing what to do with the ball. One decent cross today. I thought he had a good chance to shoot today when he laid it back for Xabi too. Speedy was dreadful. His crossing in the second half was abysmal. Unbelievable. Set pieces were a waste of time. We have been doing better with corners recently but we might as well have just put it out of play for a goal kick for all the good they did today. No wonder Carra was pissed off with the f***ing about.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Zenden play on the left with Pennant on the right.

He is a consistent performer who also chips in with assists. From memory he has had a few assists this season so far: Crouch v Villa Crouch v Gala Kuyt v Newcastle Rafa will defo bring in someone to challenge his place next season. He has done he last couple of seasons but Finnan has seen them off.
