Considering Robbie and Bellamy's injury record over the last few seasons we definitely need a striker. We could cope without a right sided player but we may find ourselves with only Crouch as the striker option at points in the season.

I expect Rafa will use the tried and tested formula of letting Gonzalez sit on the bench/in the stands to get used to the pace of the English game. It worked for Cheyrou... Seriously though Kewell will probably have to raise his game to stay ahead of Gonzalez. He might even find himself playing as the second striker.
