  1. Managers are always arguing for some perspective, some patience and understanding, but the game is not like that, fans aren't and owners aren't, that's why there's the likes of Ange and Mourinho still living off payouts from 3 clubs ago
  2. My Celtic mates say the same, and I'm all up for burning him at the stake, see if it changes anything ...but ultimately its on Slot isn't it
  3. I don't know if it would have that direct correlation, it's more that it would affect the players mental ability to react to setbacks and challenges, they don't have the same deep reserves they usually have to deal with these new situations because there's a form of collective ptsd going on I think it's all mental and that has to be Jota, top players don't suddenly and collectively collapse like this ... and Slot doesn’t seem to be able to bring them through it, possibly Klopp could have but who knows
  4. I think that's the most likely scenario
  5. Whatever we're doing it's bringing out the worst in all the players...there's always the possibility of a gypsy curse (...and Szoboszlai is obviously in possession of a magic card or monkeys paw or something, which exempts him)
  6. I see him similar to Trossard, not top class but a functioning squad can accommodate him and he can get you a goal
  7. The whole Guehi sliding door scenario fascinates me cos I think Virgil is showing signs of mental burnout... the weird handball, the gesticulating, the desperation of going up for corner after corner trying to get our equaliser - playing between a malfunctioning Konate and an erratic Kerkez must be draining
  8. Konate has been genuinely terrible but I think MacAllisters drop off has been overall the most negatively impactful
  9. Yeah, it looks like the players don't want him, whether overtly or subconsciously, they're playing like they don't know what he's on about
  10. The players look like they're paralysed by doubt, fear, confusion...it's the managers responsibility. He's lost them and has to go
  11. Was unlucky with that volley in the box 1st half, great technique, took an excellent save to keep it out Still doesn't look properly fit but the instincts are starting to show
  12. Get Gomez in bubble wrap til Wednesday
  13. The Diaz argument is funny, he seems to be both underrated and overrated on here The argument against seems to always be yeah he's good but.... something something Mane.. I'm a fan because he was always honest, put in a shift, scored big goals and helped us win a title. The noise around his camp, his da, apparently always being a wantaway never bothered me. Not his fault he followed one of our greatest ever in Mane, genuinely world class and completely unplayable for a few seasons. Yes he's a level down from that but bar Mbappe or Krava he was the best we could've had there
  14. Even if that was how we wanted to go there's no way Palace are letting us gut them like that mid season
  15. Ballsy and progressive move to replace Slot with the premier leagues first female manager
  16. The only thing I think that would make Klopp a realistic option is the Jota factor,...he may be open to oversee as much a group healing process as a season saving consolidation of the squad ...he's that kind of person, cares for the players as people, loves the club. It would be a risky and sacrificial move but not beyond him
  17. They could bring back Harvey (Keit)Elliot
  18. He's the only one playing like he believes in himself
  19. Probably projecting here but I thought he even looked unsure and nervous in the tunnel Appropriate typo there
  20. Wasn't it Indy who said the rumour is Nagelsmann would be Klopps choice?..., then Jurgen goes to Germany national team
  21. Also it's hard to trust Edwards/Hughes to get it right I'm starting to think they just went out and got the guy who's name sounded phonetically closest to Klopp
  22. Definitely, and we don't know yet what happened with the signings, how much say Slot had....but they will get to go again while Slot takes the bullet. As someone said on here a few days ago the amount of drip fed press pieces containing bumph on how great they are "the envy of the football world" etc is really suspect
