Agree with this, that was great from Mac, super annoying for oppo fans, f*** them. Onana should've walked for taking the bait, you just know if it was the other way around MacAllister would've got the red Finally a performance from us, and whaddya know the result tends to follow Salah was brilliant, I think that might be the first time in an age I've seen him beat his man on the outside, and more than once. All while being wrestled and getting f*** all from the ref ...Mac being back on it is huge as well. The midfield was a lot more solid. Another performance like that from him and I'm posting the Mark Morrison video -

Superb finish to be fair to 'ol pointy -
Riise would at least bury the odd 20 yard pile driver with his ginger donkey left peg

I don't disagree with any of this, it's a big factor along with others that feed into eachother in a perfect s***storm. Macs lack of form, playing Dom at RB hollowing out the midfield, so we basically have no control there. We actually have created plenty of chances which we failed to finish by Mo, unfit Isak, Wirtz and others where does the onus lies here? ..is it on the players, is it Hughes? Or is it Slot who was supposed to replace Trents creativity further up in the 10 position he sold to Wirtz I reckon Bradley was meant to be 1st choice RB but injury messed that up. Frimpong, probably meant to be a squad player for most of this season, came in and it was obvious he is not yet up to it. So our best midfielder fills in and we're easily overrun through the middle putting huge pressure on the defense -

We should have 2 top strikers at the club, we were all ecstatic at those signings. Wirtz too. Klopp would have loved to work with these players. Full backs a different story, they both look lacking. Some seem to think these 2 are unbalancing the whole side (maybe just Conrad)...its a theory but I don't see how it knock on affects abysmal form from Ibou, Mo, Mac, even Virg. Has to be the system implemented by Slot, or at least a combination Agree with this. Its hard lines on the modern football manager, they often take a bullet for things outside of their control. With Slot it seems he's not making the right decisions on the things he does have control of. He did a lot right last season, enough to get us over the line, but there's a tipping point looming for him...2 more league losses I reckon will bring such pressure that the club would have to act -

We should go the complete opposite of Slot, which manager has the most hair? -
There's also the very real possibility of a gypsy curse
-
I wonder how Guardiola would have used him had City got him? ... would he still have struggled with the pace and physicality of the league or would their midfield be set up to protect and support him

I guess we'll know over the next few games whether there's enough belief and fight in the squad to get through this...if not its better to pull the trigger on Slot early rather than limp through the season to a mid table finish -

We've never been a Chelsea style sacking club but at what point does his position become untenable? Obviously lose the next 4 it's unprecedented and he's done. I think thats unlikely though, we'll pull an unlikely result out of a few of those...but even if we got results from Palace and Real and then go and drop another 6 points in the league the pressure will be huge -

I quoted Flasher who said they did both and I agree. Chelsea didn't though or Palace, so the point stands it's a weak excuse from Arne...he said it was that way the last 4 or 5 games -

Chelsea too, and Palace. That is pure bollicks from Arne, kind of stuff we'd rightly ridicule any other manager for Worrying -
Yeah this all seems obvious now if you think about it and try to put yourself in their heads. My own experience of grief both with family and friends/colleagues is you withdraw into yourself, things are fragile and you meditate on your own mortality. You feel like retreating despite your responsibilities, you feel its less important. I can't imagine the level of compartmentalisation you'd have to achieve to put this aside and compete at elite level sport in front of millions of people Like Jurgen says it would never be an excuse but it's an intense experience for everyone at the club and each individual will have their own process
-
Yeah the drop off is mad, him and Salah both, who were genuinely 2 of the 4 best players in the league last season It happens I guess, see Fabinho...but I also think dealing with the sudden loss of Diogo has to be a factor

Yeah the pressure is deserved, we're one of the top clubs in world football, let's see how he responds. But let's not amplify the hysteria the media/socials are gonna try and whip up. The league win buys him slack despite how ragged and hopeless we look right now -
We're weak in every third, if Konate isn't being crap Virgil puts in a weirdly passive performance Macca been way off his game for ages, Szob usually out of position, Grav can't do it all, so midfield piss weak Salah is not Salah this season, Isak not being used properly, Gakpo hot and cold, so barring the odd Ekitike flourish the attack is blunt as f*** We're so vulnerable and don't look like getting it together, absolute s*** show
-
He should start ahead of Robbo, plus he's just not good enough for us - both things are true sadly. We've failed to replace Robbo
-
Disappointing. I immediately had an idea for a banging song for him to the tune of Guantanamera
-
For me the most troubling drop off in form is MacAllister Konate is in a slump, we've seen it before, luckily he has Virg beside him. Bradley is young and not long back from injury. Gakpo and Salah, yeah it's not great but there's Ekitike with goals and Isak slowly working to full match fitness MacAllister was, along with Grav, the best midfielder in the league last season, he ties it together with aggression and timing. He's way way off in his whole game so far this season. Imo he's the first one we want back on it, would solve a lot of our current problems
-
He's forcing it, it's a bad time for him but I'd back him to turn it around...he's too good. That outside boot cross to Isak was the best thing he did today
