  10. Wouldn't be half as funny without the goalie's mullet.
  11. It's a cliche, but name any team in the world and Gerrard would walk straight into the starting line-up. Even Brazil. There might be more prolific, gifted, and technically profficient players out there, but for pure drive, energy teamwork and the 'right' amount of ability in all areas, Gerrard's got it all. He is the best all-round player in the world bar-none.
  12. Highlight: Crouch's first goals - Kop went wild! Lowlight. 0-0 against Charlton - A forgettable affair indeed. The thumping by Chelsea was horrible, mitigated only by the fact it was a freak result and they did play some awesome, awesome football that afternoon.

  15. It's strange; since we got knocked out I've wanted Arsenal to win it - it'd be 'nice', y'know? Then I thought of the media 'love-in' if they won. I hope they get snotted..

  19. I think Chelsea will have trouble getting rid; I'm guessing arsenal/ manu/ us are the preferred destinations for the Chelsea 'outcasts' but there's no way they'd be sold to rivals at a snip. So that leaves continental clubs - Many top-ranking teams will be looking to re-stock this summer (Madrid, both Milan teams, Bayern) again, would Chelsea sell to their continental 'rivals?' Which leaves the middle-ranking teams - can you see the likes of Gudjonsen, Cole and Carvallo willingly wanting to play for them at reduced wages? I'm taking a flyer here, but this summer could prove to many prospective Chelsea acquisitions that money aside, a move to Chelsea could spell career-death.
  20. Is he at the frint, wearing his NHS 'match monacle'?

  22. The Greats aside, Hyypia's gotta be up there. He shades it over Lawro (for me at least).
  23. Don't understand the reservations about Agger - the lad's a natural. I'm convinced a decent pre-season will see him settle right in to the CB berth. I can see Paletta being blooded in cup games and coming into contention for the first team in a year's time (or even less) if reports are accurate. Is he a non-EU player or has he got he got an Italian passport on the sly? Also, could Hamman do a crazy-horse and fill-in at centre-back in the twilight of his career? I think he could, therefore we're well covered at CB and indeed LB, so Traore's superfluous - surely?
  24. It's our complete lack of media slags in the side. We need at least two more 'stars' to advertise gadgets and bad french cars on telly. We're plently good enough, we just need another title.
  25. Number of teams and their progress in Europe? Premiership teams (Everton aside) have done well in Europe over the last couple of seasons . Whilst the top teams continue to make the semis (and finals ). Even teams with no european pedigree like Boro and Bolton have acquitted themselves well against 'bigger' sides, which suggests our 'middle-ranking' teams can cut in on the wider UEFA cup-stage.
